Broken wings

Of bitter states I haul my wings to flight
I swear I’ll ride the skies one day
I’m bitten twice and she is bitten thrice
To my decay

The thunderous clouds roar louder Louder
Slowly they will fade to heavens planes
To take our souls enchanted by their power
As love may reign

The cold and wet will break the mood of men
And then we will be no more
The ice may chill the spine and feign the end
And break the core

The sun may shine another day and free
The wings of those so frozen
And come to wish to fly once more to me
To be broken
